On the day of your rhinoplasty, you’ll arrive at our hospital-grade AAAASF-certified outpatient surgical facility, where your procedure will be performed under IV sedation.
The surgery typically takes 2 to 3 hours, depending on the complexity of the procedure.
After surgery, a cast will be placed on your nose to protect the new structure and support healing. You’ll recover briefly in our facility before going home the same day. It’s important to arrange for someone to drive you home and care for you for the first 24 hours after surgery.
The recovery process following rhinoplasty requires careful attention and rest. You will be seen in the office the day after your surgery for an initial check-up to ensure proper healing.
After about a week, you’ll return to our office to have the cast removed. It’s normal for some swelling and bruising to persist for a few weeks as your nose continues to heal.
We recommend dedicating at least seven days to rest and recovery after surgery. During this time, avoid strenuous activities and keep your head elevated. Light-duty activities can typically be resumed after the first week, but it’s essential to avoid raising your heart rate for at least two weeks to ensure optimal healing.
Our team will be in close contact with you during your recovery, including a follow-up call the morning after your procedure to ensure your comfort and healing.
